Andre Pessoa is the founder and CEO of Agroconsult, an agribusiness consultancy focusing on analysis of the principal Brazilian and South American agricultural markets. It provides services to seed, fertilizer, agrichemical, farm machinery, food, and trading companies, major producers, cooperatives, private equity funds and industry associations. For the past 11 years, Mr. Pessoa has been leading a talented and experienced multidisciplinary team based in Florianopolis and São Paulo, which produces long and short-term scenarios, economic feasibility studies for investment projects and evaluates production assets for the soybean, corn, sugar, ethanol, cotton, coffee, orange juice, wheat, rice, beef, milk, pork, poultry and forestry markets.
Mr. Pessoa graduated as an agronomist from the Federal University of Viçosa and holds a Masters degree in agricultural economics from the University of São Paulo – ESALP/USP. He created and has coordinated the eight annual Rally da Safra Crop Tours, the biggest on-site technical evaluation of Brazilian grain crops. He is a Member of the Agribusiness Board at the São Paulo State Federation of Industry – FIESP, the Biotechnology Information Board – CIB, and the Advisory Board of Brazil Agribusiness Private Equity. He is a member of the board at AMATA S.A and Bolsa Brasileira de Mercadorias S.A. – BBM.
